STEWARDSHIP
|
| |
|
| |
The Challenge: Most people associate "stewardship" only with "fund raising" in the church rather than with the whole of the Christian life. Clergy and lay people alike have never discovered the rich biblical and theological meaning of the stewardship idea and its implications for building the church as a "stewarding community."
The challenge is to understand stewardship as an end rather than as a means -- as a rich description of our calling as Christians. |
The Center can help your church:
- Become a "stewarding community" with a clear, biblically-based theology of Christian stewardship to guide self-understanding, thought, and action.
- Broaden active participation in church life and work.
- Develop a dependable and sufficient financial base.
- Receive freedom from financial and spiritual bondage.
- Build strong, cohesive stewardship teams with comprehensive stewardship cultivation plans.
- Develop internal stewardship consultants.
- Conduct regular stewardship emphases.
- Utilize a range of stewardship cultivation resources, processes, and workshops which address the whole of the Christian life.
- Make effective use of the Center's consulting expertise.
