    The biblical stewardship concept directly challenges most of the cultural values of North America. To become faithful "stewarding communities" in the biblical sense, a major and profound reorientation is required. Becoming faithful, wise, and responsible stewards calls for new ways of perceiving, thinking, and behaving.

Such a reorientation, a conversion, therefore requires a system-wide and strategic change process.
